Our new exhibition 'Threads of Time 2' opens on Tuesday 8th March at the Upstairs Gallery.
In October 2014 Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies were delighted to welcome nearly 50 people to take part in Threads of Time 2. In this creative project, now in its second year, professional and amateur artists were invited to respond to the papers of the Delmé-Radcliffe family of Hitchin Priory in order to produce a new exhibition. The archive has inspired embroidery, patchwork, tapestry, lacework and weaving. The form of these works has ranged from a convent garden to a camel, laden with treasures from the East.
This is a very unique and inspiring exhibition, not to be missed!
Opens Tuesday 8th March until 2nd April.
