Work must be original art illustration (No Giclee prints or photographs will be accepted) inspired by your own published/ unpublished work as well that of other writers. The Illustrations can be in any media and we are particularly interested in new approaches by emerging artists using 3d work and installations. All work is expected to be offered for sale unless otherwise agreed.
Our criteria for selection include: creative interpretation, artistic integrity, quality of execution, and quality of presentation. We will also consider how the work fits together as a whole with other submissions (both aesthetically and in terms of space/weight balance)
Artists wishing to submit work are requested to email jpeg images of up to 3 works to the gallery email email@example.com (attn., ‘Storytime’ ) by September 30th 2015
Please title your jpeg images with your name followed by the title of the work. Please list the works you are submitting in the email with the medium and size of each work along with a short artist’s statement about each work.
Artists will be notified by email by Wed September 30th 2015. Work that has been accepted should be brought to the gallery on Monday October 12th between 10am – 4pm.
Artists must be prepared to collect any work not sold during the exhibition on Saturday October 31st between 3-5pm
A display fee of £10 per piece will be charged up to 50cms x 50cms & £15.00 above that size .Shelf or plinth rental £30. The gallery will take an 18%commission on any sale. Accepted artists will also be permitted to sell 2 pieces of browser work (along similar lines to their exhibited pieces) and up to 10 hand-made greeting cards.
